“While preparing for FEOCKS, I keep a small list of mistakes from Installation Maintenance and Testing. Reviewing why each answer went wrong keeps my study sessions more focused than simply rereading notes.”

“For FEOCKS, Fire Service Law Safety and Identification was the area I kept postponing. Breaking it into a few practice questions at a time makes the material much easier to revisit after work.”
Sofia L.

“My FEOCKS routine is simple: one timed set, a short break, then a careful review of Class-Specific Fire Equipment. The explanations show whether I understood the idea or just guessed well.”

“The FEOCKS practice questions kept my review focused.”

“I use lunch breaks to review Electrical and Mechanical Foundations for FEOCKS. Short sessions work better for me because I can focus on one weak area without trying to cover the whole syllabus at once.”
Amara K.

“The hardest part of FEOCKS prep for me is keeping similar ideas in Installation Maintenance and Testing separate. I now write one-line comparisons after each practice set, which makes the next review much clearer.”

Of course you can. Any exam can be prepared for independently. But you’ll spend weeks extracting key concepts from dense manuals, guessing which topics are actually tested, and hoping you covered enough.
Or you can let our full-time exam team do that heavy work for you — so you can focus on practice, pass on your first attempt, and spend your evenings with friends and family instead of buried in textbooks.
FAQ
No. The official table referenced here ties 甲種特類 to special fire equipment recognized as equivalent to or better than conventional equipment. Ordinary systems such as sprinklers, foam, gas, and automatic alarms are assigned to Classes 1–7. Match the equipment family and work activity to the certificate class before accepting a job.
The supplied Saga announcement states that 甲種特類 has no practical examination, and the Kanagawa and Saga tables describe a written, four-choice structure. This is still subject to current official confirmation because examination administration can change by jurisdiction and year.
A supplied Okayama announcement states at least 40% in each of the three written subjects and at least 60% overall for 甲種特類. Treat this as evidence from that announcement, not as a universal current guarantee. Check the official guide for your sitting.
The broad class summary says 特類 is the broadest class covering all equipment categories. The official equipment table referenced here is more specific: 特類 covers special fire equipment, while ordinary equipment is distributed across Classes 1–7. The table and qualification boundary should control your study and work decisions.
Pause and refer. The safe planning assumption is to obtain and follow the approved design, instructions, and qualified scope. Do not improvise from a conventional system template, and do not treat Minister recognition as a reason to skip maintenance, documentation, or class checks.
When you’re preparing for an exam, the cost goes beyond study materials. It’s the evenings spent searching for answers, the uncertainty about whether you’re covering the right topics, and the possibility of paying for another exam attempt. Premium gives you a focused way to prepare. Practice questions and explanations help you check your understanding. Wrong-answer review and progress tracking show where to focus next. Flashcards, spaced repetition and timed mocks help you revisit difficult material and practise answering under pressure. The goal is to make your limited study time count—and build confidence from what you can actually answer, rather than how many hours you’ve spent reading. Better preparation can help reduce the risk of a costly retake and the extra time away from work, family or other goals. Think of Premium as an investment in your preparation and professional development: one organised system to help you use your time more effectively and approach exam day with greater confidence. Choose the certification and access period you need, with a one-time payment and no recurring subscription.
